Heart Center

In affiliation with Duke Medicine for open heart surgery and organizational-wide quality initiatives, our hospital has raised the level of care received by our patients and improved patient outcomes.
In 2011, our Heart and Vascular Center was recognized with a Gold Performance Achievement Award from the National Cardiovascular Data Registry for consistently meeting high standards in heart attack care. Danville Regional was also recognized with a Silver Performance Achievement Award in 2011 from the American Heart Association for consistently meeting high standards in heart failure care.
Along with our board of certified cardiologists and other skilled medical staff members, the Danville Heart and Vascular Center is also an Accredited Chest Pain Center. Hospitals that have received accreditation have achieved a higher level of expertise in dealing with patients who arrive with symptoms of a heart attack.

Danville Regional has the specialized capabilities to diagnose and treat cancer in all of its more than 250 forms.

Danville Regional provides over 25 medical specialties and 14 surgical services to the community. DRMC has the largest, leading-edge surgical capacity in the Dan River Region. We provide a full range of surgeries, including those usually found only at large teaching hospitals.
