DRMC offers the area’s only 24/7/365 emergency department.
The state-of-the-art unit is equipped with:
- two trauma rooms
- 17 acute-care beds
- an isolation room for patients with highly communicable conditions (such as tuberculosis) and those who are at high risk of infection
- a decontamination room for patients who have been exposed to hazardous chemicals
- a semi-private orthopedic treatment room
- a fast track area (6-beds) with a streamlined triage process to help ensure that patients with minor emergencies receive prompt care
