Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation
Cardiac rehabilitation is designed to help patients increase functional capacity and reduce cardiac risk factors. Cardiac rehabilitation provides information, skills, and guidance to help you make lifestyle changes to lower the risk of a future heart event. The focus is to help you recover, feel more confident in caring for yourself and promote healthy lifestyle habits. Supervised exercise, education classes and counseling are the main components of cardiac rehabilitation.
The unit includes an exercise room equipped with treadmills, stationary bikes, arm and leg equipment and a trampoline.
In order to participate in an outpatient cardiac rehabilitation program, you must have approval from your doctor. Cardiac rehab is covered by most insurance programs.
