DR. JAMES TREADWELL JOINS SOVAH HEALTH
Orthopedic surgeon bring hand and upper extremity expertise to region
Danville, VA (TBD) – Sovah Health today announced that James Treadwell, DO has joined its medical staff and will provide specialty orthopedics care at Sovah Health – Danville. As an orthopedic surgeon specializing in surgery of the hand and upper extremities, Dr. Treadwell provides care for injuries and problems affecting the hand, wrist, forearm and elbow.

Dr. Treadwell joins Sovah Health from Sentara Southern Virginia Orthopedics in South Boston, VA, where he has practiced for the past 3 years. He graduated from Nova Southeastern University College of Osteopathic Medicine (Fort Lauderdale-Davie, FL) and completed an orthopedic surgical internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth (Portsmouth, VA) and an orthopedics residency at Memorial Hospital (York, PA). Dr. Treadwell also completed the Orthopedic Hand/Upper Extremity Fellowship at Carilion Clinic (Roanoke, VA) and a Hand and Microsurgery Fellowship at the Christine M. Kleinert Institute in Louisville (KY). He is a member of many professional societies including the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and the American Osteopathic Association of Orthopedics.
