Danville Regional Medical Center Welcomes New Duke Radiation Oncologist

Danville Regional Medical Center (DRMC) today announced that Brian Quaranta, M.D., Duke Health radiation oncologist, has joined the Center for Radiation Oncology, effective Monday, July 10.
“We are excited to welcome Dr. Quaranta to Danville Regional Medical Center and our community,” said Alan Larson, CEO of DRMC. “High quality cancer care is a growing need in our community, and Dr. Quaranta’s training and experience as a Duke physician will be a strong asset to our cancer care team.”
Dr. Quaranta comes to Danville from Asheville, NC where he was a physician at 21st Century Oncology. He attended medical school at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and completed his residency at Duke University Medical Center, where he served as chief resident. Dr. Quaranta joined the Duke University faculty upon graduation and saw patients at Duke for two years prior to his move to Asheville.
Dr. Quaranta is a member of the American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology, American College of Radiology and American Brachytherapy Society. He also is an assistant professor in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, NC. Dr. Quaranta begins seeing patients this week at the Center for Radiation Oncology, located next to the hospital at 188 S. Main Street in Danville.
